Our Lord neither faints or grows tired, and gives power to the weak. Those suffering captivity in Babylon had to wait, and put their hope in the Lord. And upon waiting, a time came where God renewed their strength. If you are reading this, chances are you are not held captive in the same way they were, however sometimes we are made captive by the enemy. Whether we’re dealing with regret, depression, anger or some other emotion, it’s possible to be taken captive from the joy God has for us. Put your hope in the Lord and he will renew your strength and you will mount up with wings like eagles, running and not be weary, walking and you won’t grow faint.
I like how it says we can run and not be weary, walk and not grow faint. I notice, there’s no idle position. With God giving us power and strength, with our hope always in the Lord, we can keep moving forward in our faith.
28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
