Do you believe in Jesus and have received Him as Lord and Savior?
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13)
If so, you are a child of God.
So that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. (Hebrews 6:18)
So you’re his child and its impossible for God to lie, so you can rest in these true unchanging statements found in his word – God is really good, and he loves you with an everlasting love.
God gave us his only Son (Jn 3:16) and showed his love in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) Nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38). He calls us children of God. (1 Jn 3:1) Jesus loves me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20). God is love, (1 John 4:8) and the reason you love is because he first loved you. (1 Jn 4:19) You and I were dead, yet by his great love he made us alive together with Christ – by grace he saved us. He cares about you. (1 Peter 5:6-7) God continues in steadfast love to those who love him and keep his commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9). And his commandments are not burdensome. (1 Jn 5:3). His love endures forever, give him thanks. (Psalm 136:26) God loved us before we loved him. (1Jn 4:9-11) Christ loves us, the church, in comparison to the way a husband should, according to God’s standard, love their wife. He is fully committed! (Ephesians 5:25). Jesus said, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.” (John 15:9), may we abide in his love and keep his commandments, love God and love others. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. (Psalm 103:8) And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (~Jesus, Matt 28:20)
