June 2015 is almost over, and it will never return. How will you take advantage of these final days in June? I want to give myself a June challenge, and I’d like to invite you to come aboard.

Before this month is over, I’ m going to keep my eyes open, looking and searching for any opportunity to share the message of Christ and the truth with someone else. Seeking opportunity can be done right now in this very moment from where you sit, regardless of whether you are around others or by yourself.

There are so many people in this World who needs to learn about the truth and who may be waiting for someone to share the truth with them. Jesus, without sin in every way, died for our sins so we may be right with God. I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and in Christ I have been made new. My old self is gone, the new has begun.

Now Lord, I seek your will, Please Lord use me, I am ready.

You said it, Jesus, long ago and I know the statement still stands to this day, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Who will you put in front of me Lord? I’m excited to learn your answer. I know you are here, living within us. And you are with me always, to the very end of the age. You’ve once again cleared my lens, even more crystal clear than before, and I see you as well as everything that is around us. Like giving me a thick pair of bifocals, you’ve brought everything into focus. And I know the time to act is now. Help me to continue living with a clear lens, and guide me to see what you want me to see. Put my tasks in front of me, as well as my other Christian brothers and sisters. Continue guiding us and challenging us. If in any moment there is something you would like me to do, make it obvious to me, I have faith you will.

Help me make that decision every day to put you and others before myself. I am yours.

This song reminds me of my childhood, growing up in the Church of Christ. This is where it all began for me. I have a mountain of respect for so many people from those earlier years. I’m very glad I had the opportunity to get to know and experience life with the Church. I look back now and think about those who were involved Sunday after Sunday, Wednesday after Wednesday, continuing to teach us about God and the lessons found within the Bible. I’m sure some of my Teachers thought everything they taught was going in one ear and out the other. Just know your involvement then has made an impact on my life.

And it doesn’t end with the Teachers. Whether you were committed to bringing the message, some words of encouragement, or simply a loving heart – you were a great example.

You were, and still are, the Church.

Remember that old saying, it takes a village… Actually, It takes a Church. 🙂

Thank You.

My previous post was on a lesson I heard about forgiveness, and how God wants us to also forgive ourselves. I wanted to follow that post with this video below. Often as people we mess up, and their are times when we come to this feeling that we are not “good enough” to bring our problems to Him. We begin to think, “How can I come to Him after all I’ve done?”.

The truth is, I know I have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I have made mistakes and will make mistakes. However, as I continue to live less for self, and more for Him, my hope is to make him proud of me. Although I will always fall short, it is by Grace I am saved through faith. Our God is a merciful God full grace, who meets us exactly where we are today. I believe this song paints a good picture of the awesome love and grace He truly has for us.

For him to still love me after all the stuff I’ve done, how can it be? A love and grace like no other.

His Forgiveness & Love

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 5:8
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Grace

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Romans 6:14 ESV
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

No matter what I do or how much I grow in my faith, one thing will always be true – I am a sinner. I will always be sinner. I am so far from perfect.

But here’s the good news. Jesus came to bring us together with God. He made the decision to go to the cross and in doing so he paid the price for all the sins of the world including my own. The penalty for those sins I have committed in the past and the mistakes I will make in the future have already been paid in full, by Jesus.

On the third day following his crucifixion, Jesus rose from the dead, proving he truly was the Son of God. Jesus is the only one who conquered death and paid for our sins.

The other day I was searching for a song that I heard while attending church in Phoenix. It’s a little different from songs that I usually post as you’ll find talking and a choir, but I love it. The words are truly awesome words to live by. It’s a great song to listen to when preparing yourself for that important thing you’re about to do, or simply just preparing for the day ahead.

Is there anything that makes you nervous or even fearful? For myself, public speaking is one of those things that can be nerve wracking. However, if I’m ever in the position where I do need to talk publicly, this is the song I’m going to listen to and sing along with, before hand. I encourage you not to only listen to this song, but to sing along with it. Doing so will help bring it all into focus for you. And keep these words with you where ever you go. I hope you enjoy.

I give myself away
so you can use me…

My life is not my own
To you I belong
I give myself
I give myself to You
