Is there a special person, such as a parent or loved one, in this world that you know loves you? How do you know they love you? Think about that. Maybe it’s because they’ve told you. Or maybe they’ve been there for you. Maybe it’s their long term commitment toward you. They’ve made sacrifices for you. Maybe it’s a combination of these things, which have led you to know that they love you.
Do you know that God loves you? Is there anything minute thought inside of you that puts that causes a hindrance in answering that question? If you can have a set belief that this other special person in your life loves you based on their words and their sacrifices, can you have a set belief that God through Christ Jesus loves you, based on His word and his sacrifice.
Follower of Jesus…God the Father loves you, Jesus loves you. And Holy Spirit is still here helping us in our weakness and praying for us when we don’t even know what to pray. May the Holy Spirit continue revealing to us just how much God loves us!
By the power of God through Holy Spirit may you let go and cast out all doubt. May you know and be certain of his love for you through Christ Jesus. May you continue getting to know the Lord your God, for he is good.
His Word, His Sacrifice
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
…And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ~ Jesus
