In the Gospel of John, Chapter 9 describes an event where Jesus helps a man who was born blind be able to see. The Pharisees wanted details of how it all went down and what was to think of this man Jesus. They drilled the healed man with questions. The man didn’t know how to go about answering all of their questions but the one thing he did know and made clear to them was – once he was blind and now he can see.
Two chapters later in John 11, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. So I guess its fair to say, Once he was dead and now he’s alive…
When you seek and find Jesus, that is really what it feels like, your eyes are open for the first time and you feel more alive than you’ve ever felt before. It cannot be described in a way that is easily understandable for those who may not have yet experienced it. So those who have do their best to put into words how much God has changed their lives since that day, this we call our testimony.
Mark 5:19 “And he did not permit him but said to him, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”
I really do find it neat that when you do try to explain it to someone who’s also experienced it, they will finish your sentences, and you theirs.
Jesus is alive and well today.
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
