I don’t think there’s anything wrong with desiring a special word of knowledge from the Lord to minister and love those around us. I believe that these moments can truly make an impact on those around us. For example, there have been times in the past where I’ve had a dream of someone, and in response I reach out to that person. It just so happens to be perfect timing. These moments are special. But I found that sometimes I neglect the information I already have. I’ve learned, and am learning, that whether I have what I believe to be a special word or not, I can be more present in the lives of those around me. And it’s the love we show another, that will carry on into eternity.
Jesus Calls Us To Love Others:
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. ( Matthew 22:37-39 )
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? ( Matthew 5:43-48 )
